Jamie & Jaelynn's baptism day

On March 24th, 2012 Jamie and her cousin Jaelynn were baptized by Colby. It was such a great day. The girls were so excited and it was just a happy day. Everything went really well, other then "the water was really hot". I guess it was like a hot tub, but at least it wasn't freezing.
We sang When I Am Baptized, then my niece Abby gave a quick little opening prayer, JaNae gave an amazing talk. She had Jamie and Jae stand up by her and had them clean a penny in vinegar that was the same year as their birth. "These pennies were born the same year as you.... or made I guess" haha. She had everyone laughing, and paying attention. The little girls were giggling and smiling looking back and forth at each other. It was so great. Then Colby baptized Jaelynn and then Jamie, then Lisa and me got the girls dressed. Ron gave a talk on the holy ghost and you could really feel the spirit. Then the girls were confirmed by Colby.  Our bishop made a few comments, and we closed by singing I'm trying to be like Jesus, and my mom, Maxine, gave the closing prayer. It was such a special and emotional day. I know that family that had passed on was there as well to see these two beautiful girls doing what Heavenly Father asked of them, and choosing the right. The spirit was so strong.
After the baptism we had a little luncheon back at our house. It was nice to sit and visit with everyone and enjoy the girls special day. Thank you everyone that came and participated. It was such an amazing day!

Camrie and Lexie wanted to have their picture taken together also, and out of five pictures this was the best on. lol.

Jamie's birthday

We had a surprise birthday party for Jamie about a week before her birthday. She came home from her little friend Jalissa's birthday party and the house was full of family and a pile of presents, and a horse cake on the counter. She told me she was WAY surprised and it was so much fun.

March 9th was her actual birthday and we had a few more gifts for her and Colby baked her a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, and we let her decide what we'd have for dinner. She chose Colby's famous cowboy egg bake.
I can't believe my little girl is 8 years old. She getting so big and she's such a great girl. She's making good choices and always trying to do what's right. She's been such a great example for Camrie and Hunter and I'm so proud of her.

Finally snow, Play dough, Jazz game, Grandpa & Oysters, Science fair.

We FINALLY got enough snow to break out the snow suits and sleds. The kids were SO anxious to get outside. I wish there would have been a bit more. Most of it was melted by the end of the day.

Camrie, Hunter, Jamie. Guess the culvert has been good for something.

Daddy came out to help.

I think Cam just went out to eat snow.

After they went down a few times they got going pretty good.

Hunter got bored with the snow and decided he liked the little slide better.
Decided to make some new play dough. This stuff lasts forever in the fridge. The girls were getting bored with the old colors. Cam had a friend over so we made it a fun little activity. Don't think her mom cared much for me sending some home with her. Payton told me, "My mom doesn't let us play with playdough" as I was dropping her off at the door. lol. It was funny. Whoops!
We made some pretty bright play dough colors this time.

Jamie and Cam. With our new colors. Red(pink), blue, yellow, and green.

My Cousin Kelly gave us some tickets she wasn't able to use to the Jazz game. We got there late and we left a little early, but it was a blast. The girls loved it. My cousin Melissa was sitting in front of us and her and her friends got us on the Jumbo Tron. The girls and I thought that was pretty neat.

It's becoming some kind of weird tradition that when Grandpa comes over he brings a couple cans of oysters. Most of the kids absolutely love it. But it sure does stink up my house.
Open the windows Grandpas handing out oysters.

Cam loves them.

I can't believe how these girls scarf them down. Grandpa loves it. Look at that sly smirk on his face. "WHAT!?!" lol.

Jamie made a bottle diver for her science fair project. It was fun, and pretty easy. She was so excited that she got a participation ribbon. :)
Make sure we have everything

Helps to test in a bowl just in case it doesn't float

When you squeeze the bottle (apply pressure) the diver floats up and down. The kids got a kick out of it and she LOVED taking it to school.

We had to explain it all. This is her finished board. It works well with ketchup packets too.

We all helped out.

The vail is very thin!!

Soo.. I'm sure you can guess the last few weeks have been pretty rough, don't know if it's because it's coming up on Spring, or because my Jamie is turning 8. Probably a mixture of both, but my girls have been bringing up my twin sister Jamie a lot lately. They bring her up every now and then, but lately it's been crazy a lot. Even Colby looks at me like, "why would she say that" kind of looks. This morning at breakfast Cam told me she was sad that Aunt Jamie past away, and whenever she talks about Jamie or heaven she always gets this quivery voice. It's so sweet. Anyway... My sister Deanna let us come to her house and listen to a medium, which was a lot of fun, and very interesting. We asked her all sorts of questions, one was "How do you know when spirits are with you?" She said something along the line of, "when that person pops into your mind out of nowhere, or you think about them a lot it's usually because they're around you". Well, Jamie is in my mind ALL the time, and I like to think she's always with me. If she's always with me and I'm always with my kids, then she's also always with them. I think that could be why they talk about her so much. It's a nice thought. I miss my sister. God be with you till we meet again My Love.
