Colby's 30th Birthday!!

Colby's birthday was yesterday the 21st of October, and we decided to surprise him and take him bowling. Nancy and Ron rented the eight lane bowling alley in the Army Depot, and he had no idea. My mom picked him up to bring him, and when they headed toward Stockton he said, "the only thing this way is the restaurant." By restaurant I mean Stockton Miners Cafe, Ron and Mike Holmes restaurant. Colby figured he was either going up the canyon for a weeny roast, or to the restaurant. I'm sure he would have been okay with either, but we go to those places all the time, so it would have been no biggie for him, then when my mom turned into the Depot he said, "your going the wrong way, you need to keep going straight." Pretty funny!! He had no idea there was even a bowling alley in there. We ordered a bunch of pizzas. I told him he could pick out his cake, but he said to let the girls do it, so Jamie picked out his cake, and it was Strawberry Shortcake. Very cute. I wanted to get him a camo or hunting cake, but they didn't have any. Anyway, the party was a lot of fun, I think everyone really enjoyed themselves. The girls were a hoot. Jamie kept running over to me after every turn and telling me how many pins she knocked down. She'd jump up and down and say, "yes, yes, yes". It was so cute. All the girls were really cute. It was fun to have so many people there, and to be able to bowl with all of my family. Colby really enjoyed it too. He WAS surprised, and he had a good time. Happy 30th birthday old man.

I took a ton of pictures, for some reason they were all coming out a little blurry, so hopefully you can all see them okay.

Got our pumpkins!

We went to the pumpkin patch in South Jordan last night, and had a ton of fun. Zach, JaNae, Abbie, Logan, and Lilly where there, and Lisa, Jaelynn, and Lexie came, and I picked up my mom on the way over. So we had a big bunch of people. It was way to cold though. I tried to take some pictures of my girls, and I got a bunch, but they were to interested in everything else to hold still. At the pumpkin patch they also had a few tractors that the kids could climb and sit on, and they had a couple different spots set up with some hay and pumpkins to take pictures at. Jamie and Jaelynn loved the kids corn maze, I think Jamie went through about five times before we finally told her it was time to go. The kids picked out their little pumpkins, and we picked out their big ones. We asked them if it was okay of course. Camrie found a little orange and white pumpkin that she wouldn't put down all evening. It was pretty cute.

Everyone be sure to look at the super cute bows in the girls hair. Lisa made them all. Thank you Lisa.
After the pumpkin patch we went to Chilli's for dinner, the kids had fun, and the food was pretty good.

Soap Stone & The Zoo

Okay so this last week has been super busy.
On Saturday we went up to Soap Stone for my moms birthday and had loads of fun. Every year my mom asks us kids if we can take her for a ride to see the leaves, so Chris and Deanna planned a camping trip. Colby the kids and I only went up for Saturday though. We took the longest 4-wheeler ride ever, I think it was like a four hour ride, it was really fun. The leaves were so bright and beautiful. Camrie took a good long nap, and Jamie got a little snooze in herself. We saw a couple moose. Jamie and Camrie had to wear helmets, and they were so big on them. Camrie looked like a little bobble head doll, and she couldn't keep her balance when she walked. I made her walk to Colby so that I could film her walking funny, I know I'm a mean mom, but it was so stinking cute. After the 4-wheeler ride we came back and sat around the campfire.
Colby, Chad(Chris's brother), Haylee, Kallee, and Jamie all played hide and seek in the woods. It was so funny to see them all running around. Jamie was so cute, she kept hiding in the same place in the middle of this big pine tree and giggling like, I have the best spot to hide.
Colby Chris and Chad started a game of coal toss and that went on for awhile, it was pretty funny to watch, I was suprised when Kallee and Haylee joined in. Just so you know if you blow on the coal it makes it hotter, it doesn't cool it off.

The Zoo

Monday we went to The Zoo and it was so fun. What a great day for the zoo, the weather was perfect.

Nancy came with us, and Lisa, Jaelynn, and Lexi are the ones that invited us, so thanks a bunch Lisa we had a great time. The girls were so cute running from animal to animal saying, "look at this one, oh wow, look at this one". We got to see the infamous white alligator, but I was a little disappointed that they didn't have a polar bear anymore, and the tigers didn't want to show themselves. If you ask Jamie what she did at the zoo she'd say that she got to ride on a zebra. That was on the carousel, not a real zebra.
We went for a train ride, and Camrie did NOT want to get off, she threw a fit, so you know she had a good time. After we were all done looking at animals we went to the playground. It was so nice to just be able to sit and watch the girls play. Camrie is getting to be a little daredevil, she was climbing the rope wall, and she wandered over to the stairs to the BIG slide and took herself down. It was pretty funny. She didn't want to leave the park either. I was going to chase her up the stairs of the BIG slide, but decided to let her go one more time, and I was laughing so hard because she came down on her belly with the biggest smile. I had to bribe her with a toy to get her to leave. Grandma bought Jamie a giraffe, and Camrie a frog. Thanks Grandma
