Camrie turned the big number 3 on Sunday the 20th. She's getting so big. I can't believe how fast time flies. Seems like yesterday she was my little baby. When Aunt Deanna got to the birthday party Camrie went up to her and said, "I'm not a baby anymore". It was cute how she said it, but it's sad to think she's such a big girl now.

Colby's half marathon
I just want to say how proud I am of Colby. He ran his first half marathon on Saturday the 8th of August. He had to wake up around 3:00am in the morning so that he could make it to Provo and on the bus that takes you to the top of the canyon for the race. The race started about 7:00am. Thanks to Ron and Nancy I was able to see him at the end. Ron and Nancy picked the girls and me up at 7:00am, just in time to see Colby running to the finish. He ran 13 miles in 1:59:36. Just under two hours. Great job Honey, you did awesome. Hopefully next time I can say that I got to run too.
Yay Daddy!! We were SO surprised to see him looking so good. I thought he'd have to drag himself across the finish. Nope, he proved me wrong. He said the only bad part is that he was keeping pace with a bunch of girls. I'm sure he liked that more then he was putting on though. lol. He only walked once and that was to grab a drink of water at one of the watering stations.
His brother Zach instigated the whole thing. He talked Colby and their friend Jess into running with them. Poor Jess wore his soccer shoes with no padding and felt like his feet were broken. Zach and Colby went back to find him and jogged with him to the finish line. Good job boys!
Camrie showing how fast she can run.
Jamie showing how fast she can run. The girls both had a good time, and were able to just run around and play on the grass while we waited. They were so excited and cheered for Colby when he passed by.

Going to the beach
I took the girls to one of the beaches that are in Daybreak, thanks to Aunt Kristie who told us all about it and went with us with her kids. Jamie has been asking to go to the beach for um lets see probably about three years now. Whenever she'd say she wanted to go to the beach I always thought it would be forever before we could go to California or something like that, but this little beach was perfect. There was a lot of people at first, but I still didn't think it was too crowded, but the longer we stayed the emptier it got. We almost had the beach to ourselves for about an hour. It was so fun and the girls just loved it.

RODEO
We went to the Tooele Rodeo on the 4th of July, it's kind of becoming a tradition, and had a BLAST. Ron signed Jamie up for the Mutton Bust for us and it was hilarious. She won third place and was given a check of $27.50. Woo Hoo! She's been wanting to ride a sheep for like the last three years and she was finally able to this year and she just loved it. We asked her what she thought about it and she said it was fun and she wanted to do it again. She also said she liked how soft the sheep's wool was, and she lost her hat. When Jamie was done with her great ride and the whole crowd was cheering Grandpa said he was as high as a kite. lol. I think we all were. It was great. The girls had a lot of fun, and we got to see some great fireworks afterward. We'll have to get Camrie on a sheep next. She won't stop asking now that Jamie's done it.

Lots a stuff
There's A LOT of things I've been wanting to blog about, I just didn't want to until I got all my pictures onto the computer, and it's taken me awhile to do that. Now there on so here you go.
First - Jamie is doing so good in softball, some days she really loves it and others not so much. I've really gotten some great compliments on how athletic she is, and that's always a joy to hear. Every now and then she hits the ball. She's doing better at not playing in the dirt the whole game, so that's good. We've had to bribe her with a toy from the dollar store though. It makes it that much more fun for her.
Second - Jamie graduated from Pre-school, crazy how time flies. I can't believe I have one girl going into Kindergarten, and my little Camrie starts Pre-school.
Third - Also Jamie. She got bit by something, and it got infected and so her arm swelled up from elbow to wrist. I took pictures of when it was completely swollen, but there not very good, you can't really tell, so I'm just posting the beginning of that fun. We took her to the doctor and they gave her an allergy medicain and that didn't do it, when it kept getting bigger and bigger they gave me an anit-biotic and it started healing right away thank goodness.

Fourth - Daddy (Colby) set up a garden box on the back porch, and that has been his and the girls little project. There having a lot of fun with it. All of our plants are doing really well. Colby let the girls help plant the garden and everything. The girls just love to go out with Colby everyday to water and see how the garden has grown. We've been able to eat some strawberries and rhubarb so far. Also, Daddy had just got done mowing the lawn and needed to take dirt to the back yard for the garden, so the girls got a fun little ride.

Fifth - Grandma Holmes has some dresses made for the girls that turned out so cute and the girls just love them. We let them pick out their favorite fabric and then went to a friend of Nancy's and she made them for us, and did a great job too. Jamie of course picked out leopard print, and Camrie wanted whatever Jamie had. They got to wear them to church on Sunday and they were so excited. We also got a stretchy t-shirt fabric that was pink, brown, and white camo, and they turned out more like pajamas, but there still really cute. The only time I can get them off the girls is when they get dirty and I need to wash them. Thank you Nancy. We love them.

Sixth - Grandma and Grandpa Holmes put a chicken coop in there back yard by the horses, it's all enclosed and the girls just love to hang out in it. We were at their house the other day and I was looking everywhere for them to tell them dinner was ready and sure enough they were out in the chicken coop. I told Nancy it was a great little babysitter. They have a lot of fun with it.

And Last - I like to try new hair do's on the girls, and I wanted to post a couple that turned out cute. Some are really quick and easy and some took me a bit longer.
