Little Camrie

I'm so excited, I got this ebook from my friend about potty training in three days and I read it and did it and Camrie did such a great job. I've tried to start potty training her in the past, but she just didn't get it, so I did what the book said and at the end of day two it just clicked for her. She's had a few accidents still, and I'm sure there will be more, and we have to wake her up at night if we want her bed dry, but she's doing so great and I'm so proud of her. Where on the right track, and it's not taking me 11 months like it took me for Jamie.

Camrie runs up to me and says "mama potty" then runs for the bathroom, she's such a good girl. When I ask her where pee pees goes she says, "In the toilet..... not in panties", It's so cute I love it. Yay Camrie!! The school I want her to go to won't let kids in that aren't potty trained, so that's a big plus to it, I'll get to sign her up for pre-school.
She's done such a good job, I'm so proud of her.

YAY!!! We finally got some snow.

Today is Valentines day and we finally got enough snow to play in. Colby went outside to shovel the walks and I got the girls in their winter gear and we went outside and made a big snowman and a snow bunny just for Jamie. She's been wanting to make a snow bunny since last year when she saw one in another yard, but we haven't had enough snow to do anything until today, yippee! The snow mans arms are made from one of our little trees we planted last year that someone stepped on and broke when they were putting flags in our yard to mark where power lines were. That was a bummer, but at least we got to use it for something. It's a good thing we went out a little early too, because I just looked out the window and most of our front yard is melted already. I have to say I probably over dressed the girls, but I didn't realize how warm it really was until I went out there myself. When I came back inside the temperature gage said it was around 44 degrees. That's alright though, we didn't freeze, we had fun, and the snow was great packing snow.
Say HI for the camera.
Can't play in the snow without eating a little.Nancy gave us a cute little "Snow man can" for Christmas. It has a plastic carrot, some buttons, and some little dots for the eyes and mouth. There's only enough for one snow man, but we split them up into two for the snowman and the bunny.Jamie's getting old enough to be able to do some herself.Notice Colby's sleeves? It was pretty warm. And I totally didn't mean to cut off his head, but the sun was on the camera, so I was lucky the girls are even in the picture.

Thanks Daddy for taking a picture of me and my girls. Just so you all know I rolled the snowman's bottom, and I don't know how those little fifth and sixth grade kids used to roll those snowballs that were bigger then they were, because I had a hard time rolling one the size of Camrie.

Ahhh... Good times.

Lots of News

I haven't updated my blog in awhile, so I thought I should.

Jamie gave a talk in church on Sunday and she did such a great job. She didn't want my help at all either. One of the teachers went up to try to help her get started and she told her that she didn't need any help. The teacher sat down and looked at the other teacher and shrugged, like... I guess she doesn't want help, it was pretty funny. She talked loud, she showed her pictures to everyone, she remembered all of it, and she gave a great, funny, but great testimony when she was done. The Second Counselor got to see the talk and came up to me later and told me that when she was doing her talk him and his wife just stared at each other in awe.. He said he couldn't believe she had it all memorized and was doing it all by herself, he thought she was a natural, and he said he'll be asking her to say a talk in sacrament meeting. I'm so proud of her, and am glad that she is becoming so confident. Jamie will be turning 5 in March. She's getting so big.

If you didn't all read Colby's status update in our Facebook, we're expecting another baby. Due in October. I figure if he's going to post it there I might as well post it here. We're pretty excited. I'm not super excited about the whole October thing since that's right around the hunt, but it will be fun to have a baby in the family again. The girls are really excited too, especially Jamie. I don't remember who, but someone asked her what she thought we were going to have and she told them it wasn't her decision and that Jesus would decide what we get. I couldn't believe she said that, what a smarty pants, it was really cute. I have been soooo tired, and I've been craving meat, mostly chicken. I like being pregnant, but then there's so much I don't like about it. We plan on putting Camrie and Jamie in the same room with a bunk bed, and putting the baby in Cams room. It's going to be great. I can't wait.

I got a new calling in the ward, I'm the Enrichment Leader. It's been a lot of fun, and a blessing to me, I get to help plan and organize all the activities, and it's been really good for me because it's helping me feel like I'm part of the ward. I'm getting to know so many women, and I'm learning to love all of them so much.

On a sad note, Colby's work has been SUPER slow, so a lot of people have been laid off, Colby has had a huge cut in pay because his trucks aren't working for him, and we've been scrimping like crazy. Colby's been calling everyone he knows for side work, and has been working every day except Sunday for the past few weeks. We luckily had some money in savings, but if work doesn't pick up soon he might have to go out of state and find work with another company. I really don't want him to have to do that. Hopefully work will start coming in and we can get back to our normal life. I hate not being able to eat out, or go to the store when I need or want something, or pick up a small toy for the girls when we go to buy milk and bread. I know it will all get better sometime or another. We know work is coming up, we just don't know when.

I'm glad that the weather is warming up and am excited for February. I hope everyone has a fun Valentines Day!!!!
My pictures have nothing to do with my post, but I thought they were fun and cute.

Thanks for the cute sweat shirts Aunt Lisa.

Annie Oakley & New Years Eve

The last few years we've kind of made a tradition of going shooting on New Years Day. We gather up pretty much anyone that wants to go and head up to Horseshoe springs and shoot at clay pigeons. We play a game Chris calls Annie Oakley. Everyone lines up and the first person shoots at the clay pigeon and if they miss the second person can shoot and if they hit it they get the first person out, and so on and so forth. There were a couple of times that three people would shoot and miss and the fourth person would hit it and get them all out. It was hilarious. Colby and I brought up our trailer so that the kids would have a warm place to go if they got too cold, or if they got bored outside and wanted to be inside. At one point the trailer was full of a bunch of little girls that were very hyper. Luckily it wasn't too cold so they spent most of their time outside, except for Camrie and Lily, they liked the trailer, and we liked them in there. Thanks to everyone that took turns in the trailer with the kids. Nancy helped the kids build little snow men. I know Jamie really had a good time. Colby got his little camping grill set up and we had some hot chocolate, hot dogs and sandwiches for lunch. All in all I think it was a pretty good little get together. Everyone seemed to have fun, and they all say we need to do it more often, and I agree. It was fun.One of Russ's little girls, Abby, and Jamie. Nancy helping Abby and Jamie build a silly snowman. Abby and Jamie. Roll'n, roll'n, roll'n.
Colby and me. Thanks Dee for taking some pictures.
This picture makes me laugh. It was mine and Chad's turn to shoot and I missed and Chad missed and up at the front of the line out of nowhere we here a shot and Chris got a shot off and hit the clay pigeon and knocked us both out. Sad, but very funny. Chris was pretty excited about that. A game or two later, it happened to him also, and it was JaNae that got everyone out. That was hilarious. Boo ya!Russ, Ron, Colby, Colton, Uncle John (I think), Chris, Chad, JaNae.Ron, and my honey.. Colby.

Me, Russ, Colby, Chad, Colton, Chris, JaNae.After the games when everyone was getting ready to pack up I got to shoot a little without all the pressure. Colby backed me up.

Christmas party with friends

Just before Christmas we got together with some friends in our ward for a little Christmas party. Can I just say I had sooo much fun. Michelle and Todd were the hosts and they did such a good job. Todd is a chef and boy can he cook. He made an amazing three course meal, AND we got to use their fine china. Woo Hoo. After every ones belly's were stuffed to the rim we went downstairs and played a gift exchange game, and then we played Guestures. I haven't laughed that hard in so long. Everyone was so funny. We played boys against girls, and it's not hard to figure out who won... The girls of course. On Sunday Hilary even wrote our ending score on the chalk board in Sunday school, it was only for a second, but it was pretty funny. After we totally whooped up on the boys we went back upstairs for some yummy dessert. What a fun night. Thanks Michelle and Todd for such a great little get together.

Fail Family Christmas Party

The Fail Christmas party was a lot of fun, it was pretty hectic, but then it always is. It's nice to have the girls old enough to not have to worry about them so much. When we got to the party Jodi's little girls Madison and Morgan clung to Camrie, and she went off with them, and Jamie ran in her own direction. The church is like a really big play pen. You know your kids are in it somewhere. Morgan and Madison with Camrie. Dinner was good, lots of soups to choose from, and I'm so glad there were rolls with meat and cheese because that's what my girls ate the best. The kids table is sure cute and the kids will actually sit at it.
Santa came and all the kids sat on the floor waiting for their names to be called. Camrie sat with the kids for a half a second, and then she ran to Aunt Nana's lap and didn't want to sit as close as the other kids were sitting. I didn't think I was going to get her on his lap, but she did pretty good. She really wanted her little bag of treats. Jamie was funny, she was getting so bored because her name was toward the bottom of the bag, but she just sat and waited. Kevin and me were talking about how all those little kids used to be us around Santa's feet, and now it's all of our little ones. Time flies.Cam and Aunt Nana. All the kids waiting for their name to be called so they can sit on Santa lap. Jamie being bored. Ha ha classic.Jamie and SantaCamrie and Santa. Yay, she got her bag of goodies.
Haylee, Jaelynn, Deanna, Kallee.Jaelynn, Lexi Lou.I only got a couple pics of Colby and this is the only one that really turned out, so I decided to post it. He didn't really seem in the mood to be at a Christmas party, but I'm glad he was there After all the kids were done, most of the girl cousins got a picture with Santa, and I'm sure he was just loving it. Hopefully I spell every ones names right: Shante, Traci, Trina, Nicki, Tori, Wendy, Lisa, Jodi, Jen, Julie, Kristie, Holly, Deanna, Becky, Santa, Jana, Liz, Kelly, Sherri, Rachael, Angela, Krissy.

Everyone was so funny taking pictures and trying to get kids to look at them. Jodie was making me laugh when she was trying to get Camrie to look over at my mom. She was jumping up and down clapping and screaming. I heard someone tell her, "you got Julie to smile". What a hoot.

The gift exchange was a little different this year, the gifts were all nice, but everyone just seemed a little out of it. I guess until Jared tried to take my moms pillow, then she took Aunt Elanas pillow, then Aunt Elana took Jareds pillow, then back to my mom when she decided to get something else, that was pretty funny.

All in all it was a good party. It's always fun to see family, and get to visit with them, and to see how big every ones kids are getting.

The Christmas party was on the 19th, which is also Lisa's birthday. I feel so bad, but I never got to tell Lisa happy birthday, so Happy Birthday Lisa.

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas.
